The company was established in New York City in 2006 by John Quinn, who has devoted his whole life to custom woodworking experience. Based in Oceanside, New York, JQ Woodworking now services Long Island as well as New York City.

JQ Woodworking is also environmentally friendly. All our jobs use low VOC water based finishes out of concern for the environment and the health and safety of our employees and customers. Water based finishes are not as prevalent in woodworking because of the difficulty and skill in mastering the perfect finish. We also use No Added Urea Formaldehyde (NAUF) engineered panel products and FSC Certified lumber.
